Construction for the Sewer Separation Project North of Trumbull Street begins with utility relocations.

  • Gas utility relocations on Lincoln Street and Pearl Street have begun.
The relocation of gas mains and services along Lincoln Street North of Trumbull Street, and Pearl Street between Lincoln Street and State Street began earlier this week. Hours for the work are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The installation of the 2" gas mains and gas services to the buildings will last until the beginning of October.

Concurrent with the gas services being installed up to the buildings, Southern Connecticut Gas Company staff will be making appointments to relocate the gas meters to the outside of the buildings. This work will last until it is completed.

Sections of the roadway will be closed to all but local traffic during the daytime and open to traffic at night. The trenches in the roadway will be patched as the work progresses.

  • Water Main Relocations to begin this Autumn
The Regional Water Authority (RWA) will be relocating sections of water mains in various intersections along the project route. Timing has not yet been confirmed. The RWA will be testing valves in the system over the next few weeks. More information will be disseminated as it becomes available.
