Storm Preparedness: GNHWPCA Prepares for Storm Sandy

Public Information Meeting Presentation Materials from September 27th, 2012

Back

In response to the severe weather event forecasted next week GNHWPCA is working to ensure that we are prepared for the impending storm. The Authority has positioned standby equipment at its facilities and is ensuring that fuel, crews, and supplies are standing by.

This storm is predicted to produce a significant amount of rainfall and storm water entering the sewer system may increase the potential for backups. If you have a sewer emergency please call the Authority’s Emergency Number at (203) 466-5260. This line operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to respond to emergencies. The Authority will continue to monitor the storm and issue additional advisories as necessary.
